Citroen has launched a value hike on its C3 high-riding hatchback this month, making it the third value hike launched by the French automaker because the C3’s launch in July 2022. The value hike is because of Citroen updating the C3’s two petrol powertrains to satisfy the upcoming Real Driving Emission (RDE) norms.

Citroen C3: new costs, RDE-compliant engines

The C3 continues to be powered by two 1.2-litre petrol engines which at the moment are RDE and E20 compliant. The first is an 83hp, naturally aspirated unit that’s paired to a 5-speed handbook and the second is a 110hp, turbocharged unit that’s paired to a 6-speed handbook gearbox. Citroen C3: rivals
